According to KTLA, an Encino woman came home to four masked men burglarizing her dwelling, making off with designer goods in a white Chrysler. This incident occurred in the 5000 block of Rubio Avenue, adding to a concerning pattern of thefts in the area.
This string, of burglaries has put residents on high alert, as reported by ABC7, which includes a separate event where a mother and daughter walked in on a burglary at their multi-million dollar home. The suspects, faces concealed and donning hoodies, scrambled out of the house shouting "Go, go go," as per a statement made by the LAPD.
LAPD's West Valley Division is actively investigating these crimes to determine if they're interconnected. As described by CBS Los Angeles, residents are frequently spotting additional private security patrols. Despite this uptick in security, the brazen nature of these crimes has left many feeling uneasy.
