
The Fairfield, CA Police Department praised the quick actions of citizens and officers in rescuing a drowning victim on Thursday. Responding to distress calls, officers arrived at a home on Alaska Avenue to find a civilian had already pulled a 45-year-old woman from a pool, and another bystander was administering CPR, as reported by the Fairfield Police Department.
The woman had been submerged for at least five minutes and showed no signs of life. Officers Mojica, Kennedy, and Penate took over CPR efforts, which were crucial in keeping her alive until paramedics arrived and restored her pulse.
Medical professionals later reported that the prompt actions of the witnesses and officers likely saved the woman's life.
