
A brush fire that ignited just off the 405 Freeway in Bel-Air has been extinguished as of Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities. Reported at 1:55 p.m. near Mulholland Drive, the fire covered an estimated 1/8 acre and was tackled by the efforts of more than 60 firefighters, who managed to put out the blaze in 42 minutes, as reported by CBS Los Angeles. No injuries were reported in the incident, and no structures were damaged.

The Los Angeles Fire Department's initial assessment cited the fire as burning at a "moderate rate of speed under light wind conditions," with no structures being threatened, as stated by the LAFD alert.
Cleanup and monitoring efforts continued even after the main fire was extinguished, with crews ensuring no remaining hot spots would reignite. "Crews will continue to mop up any remaining hot spots," as per the LAFD's knockdown announcement.
