Foreman Wolf, the Baltimore-based restaurant group known for its high-end dining experiences, is retracting its footprint from Harbor Point's Cindy Lou’s Fish House. According to a report by Baltimore Fishbowl, the partnership between Foreman Wolf and Beatty Development Group at the Canopy by Hilton Harbor Point location is drawing to a close this coming Thursday.
Despite its location at a coveted waterfront spot, the Southern-inspired restaurant debuted in the middle of the 2020's global disruptions, yet managed to anchor itself as a part of the Harbor Point dining scene. Come August 1, oversight of the establishment falls to Beatty and Donohoe Hospitality Services, with plans to reshape the concept later this year. In relation to the closure, Foreman Wolf is redirecting its energies towards The Duchess, a new venture set to open in Hampden this fall, and its existing restaurants, as detailed by the Baltimore Banner.
Foreman Wolf’s President & CEO Tony Foreman described the creation and operation of Cindy Lou’s as a “terrific partnership and experience”, but cited the need to focus on their signature restaurants and the upcoming opening of The Duchess as a catalyst for the change. "Our desire to focus on our signature restaurants, while also realizing our exciting new restaurant project, The Duchess, which we recently announced, necessitates this new direction," Foreman said in a statement, as per Baltimore Fishbowl.
While the change may signal the end of a chapter for Foreman Wolf at Harbor Point, it's clear that the company is not retreating from its commitment to the Baltimore area. Other establishments in their portfolio, including Charleston, Petit Louis Bistro, and Cinghiale, remain pillars of the local restaurant scene.
