In an extension of their joint effort with the Park & Recreation Department, the library has upped its game by adding physical passes and, for the first time, digital ePasses—paving the way for more families to access this slice of 19th-century life.
Those eager to explore will appreciate that each pass admits up to four people for general admission, and the tickets remain valid for an entire week, while it is important to remember that particular rules will still apply. "We are excited to partner with the Park & Recreation Department to offer more free admission passes to Log Cabin Village – with fewer restrictions," Midori Clark, Library Director, said, as cited by the City of Fort Worth. The addition of digital ePasses is hailed as a move that simplifies engagement with this unique historical location.
The Log Cabin Village stands as a living history museum that's not just about preserving folk architecture endemic to Texas frontier times, but it's about weaving the fabric of stories that defined an era. After this past spring witnessed a surge in community engagement through the well-received Story Time in the Park event the library has articulated its intentions to bring back this convergence of literature and history to the Log Cabin Village in April, May, and June 2025. Moreover, those with a penchant for natural beauty can also snag passes for the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, another cultural gem the library allows its cardholders to enjoy, free of charge.
