The agricultural heart of Georgia is beating strong as it gears up to host the Joint Agriculture Chairmen's Ag Issues Summit later this summer. Slated for August 27, this event is set to bring together the state's agricultural leaders and those with a stake in the sector's future. According to Senate Press, the summit will commence at 9:30 a.m. at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry, bringing with it a full day's agenda of discussions and collaborative opportunities.
It's been noted by Sen. Russ Goodman (R–Cogdell), the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, that "Each year, the Ag Issues Summit serves as a pivotal platform for our agricultural community to come together, exchange knowledge, and address the pressing challenges we face." Goodman, keen to truly get the community engaged and to collectively push forward, added, "It is an invaluable opportunity to foster collaboration and innovation within our industry. We look forward to seeing you in Perry and engaging in meaningful discussions to further strengthen our agricultural community," as obtained by Senate Press.
Industry leaders are not only providing a platform but also hospitality, offering coffee and lunch to all attendees free of charge. This gesture underscores a spirit of generosity and collaboration that is the hallmark of the summit. Despite the open invite, space is limited, and prospective attendees are being asked to RSVP by August 16, to ensure that the event is well-prepared for the number of participants.
For those looking to attend, RSVPs are being collected by Rachel Whitted—you can send her your details including full name, organization, and phone number at [email protected]. The Summit will conveniently unfold in the Miller Murphy Howard Building, located at 401 Larry Walker Pkwy, Perry, Georgia. For more information on the forthcoming summit, a glance at the Summit's announcement on Senate Press should provide the necessary details for interested parties.
