The Grapevine Police Department recently marked the end of an era as Officer Moses Cabrera stepped down from his post after 34 years of steadfast service. A post from the department's official account last Saturday commemorated the dedication and career of their longest-standing officer, expressing gratitude not only to Cabrera but also to those close to him. "We want to thank is wife, Lisa, his friends, family and coworkers for making his last day one to remember," the Grapevine Police Department said.

In a ceremony that underscored the respect and camaraderie within the force, Cabrera was recognized for his decades-long contribution. Those who know him describe Officer Cabrera as a pillar of the police department, someone who always went above and beyond to serve not just the force but the community at large. Colleagues and family members were in attendance to celebrate and seemingly approve of the decision to finally embrace the retirement he has so richly deserved.
Officer Cabrera's tenure at the Grapevine Police Department has been marked by the myriad of changes the force and community have undergone. His career commenced in a pre-digital age, and he adapted to radically transform the nature of policing – from paperwork to digital records, and from walkie-talkies to body cameras, his experience reflecting an evolving landscape of law enforcement.
