A man has been arrested by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office following a deadly altercation at a local bar earlier this month. The sheriff's office reports that deputies were called to an incident at the Tally Ho Bar, Lounge & Grille, situated at 7402 N. 56th St. on the early morning of July 2nd after a dispute erupted between customers and staff.

The altercation took a tragic turn when 50-year-old security guard Kenneth Washington was struck in the head by Joshua Valdibieso, 26, one of the patrons involved. Deputies, arriving on scene, provided medical treatment to Washington before he was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Originally arrested for battery at the scene, Valdibieso's charges have since been elevated. Following further investigation and the results of an autopsy, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrant for Valdibieso for manslaughter on July 12, as outlined in a HCSO press release.

With assistance from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Valdibieso was located and arrested without further incident in Pasco County on July 14. Sheriff Chad Chronister told the press, "It's tragic that a man lost his life due to senseless violence while simply doing his job. I commend our deputies for their dedication to justice. Their meticulous work with this case has led to the successful arrest of this violent man, who will now be held accountable for his actions." The investigation remains active, and updates will be disseminated by the Public Affairs Office.
