The National Weather Service forecast for Monday reveals a more turbulent outlook, showers and thunderstorms are likely to occur, mainly after 2 p.m., with about a 60 percent chance of precipitation conditions that are expected to persist into the evening. This pattern doesn't let up through Tuesday, with a similar likelihood of afternoon and early evening thunderstorms predicted, even as daytime highs remain just a hair under the steamy 60s.
Throughout midweek, Knoxville will continue to see chances of precipitation, with a 60 percent likelihood of showers and perhaps a thunderstorm come Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, the chances of rain are set to taper slightly a 50 percent chance during the day dropping to 30 percent by night. Friday once again looks to be mostly sunny yet holds a 50 percent possibility of thunderstorms.
