
A motorcycle crash on Great River Road has left a local man hospitalized. The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that 34-year-old Wade Garland of Little Falls, MN, was involved in a single-vehicle accident around 7:07 pm last Friday.
Garland was traveling northbound when he appeared to lose control of his motorcycle in a curve near the intersection of Great River Road and 130th Avenue, according to a report by the Sheriff's Office. The report details that Garland, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was ejected from the motorcycle upon going off the roadway.
First responders including the MN State Patrol, Bowlus Fire Department, Bowlus First Response Team, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance were called to assist. Garland was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance. The extent of his injuries has not been made public at this time.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office has not released additional information about the potential cause of the accident or the current condition of Mr. Garland. However, they highlighted the importance for motorists to exercise caution while navigating curves, especially on roads like Great River Road where such incidents have been known to occur.
