The K9 on the scene, Drake, signaled the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, prompting a search. Officers located drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and four ounces of fentanyl — a potent synthetic opioid. The two individuals, identified by police as 38-year-old Ramon Guzman and 31-year-old Taylor Bickler, both hailing from Washington, were arrested at the scene. They admitted to acquiring the fentanyl earlier that day in the Central Valley with intentions to sell it back in Washington.
The official police account detailed the charges: transporting/selling a narcotic or controlled substance, possessing/purchasing for sale a narcotic or controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance.
The suspects, Guzman and Bickler are currently awaiting judicial proceedings for their alleged intentions to traffic narcotics.
