A man has been indicted for the fatal shooting of his estranged girlfriend outside a St. Petersburg apartment complex last month, according to authorities. Thirty-six-year-old Jerome Isom is now facing a charge of first-degree murder for the death of 25-year-old Yvonne Abernethy, ABC Action News reported.
The indictment by the grand jury was announced following the tragic incident which occurred just before 6 a.m. on June 18 at the Reserve at Lake Pointe Apartments. Police say that Abernethy was shot by Isom outside her residence on Lynn Lake Drive South, an act which ended fatally.
