A 32-year-old man was taken into custody following a significant drug raid conducted by the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) on North Edwards Street near East Prouty Street in Kalamazoo. Unveiling the results of the thorough investigation, KVET indicated they had apprehended an individual allegedly implicated in the long-term distribution of large quantities of narcotics in the area.
During the raid, law enforcement officers obtained more than a pound of narcotics, specifically 547 grams of fentanyl and powdered cocaine. According to WWMT, the team also uncovered a variety of tools and equipment designed for the manufacturing and dissemination of fentanyl.
The suspect was subsequently lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail, although his name has not been disclosed as of yet. Further details about the bust were shared by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, highlighting both the dangers of fentanyl and the commitment to tackling its spread within the community. "KVET will continue to proactively pursue those who make the poor choice of manufacturing, distributing and selling this poison in our community", the department expressed, as per WOODTV.
