He's been recognized for his contributions to policy-making and law enforcement literature. Deputy Chief Rutland brings 18 years of experience and a distinguished military and law enforcement background. He has served the Marietta Police Department in various capacities, his roles branching out from a SWAT team member to his recent promotion to Deputy Chief where he continues to influence the department's strategy and policy.
