The night is set to be mostly cloudy with lows around 74 degrees, and the winds taking a gentle turn from north-northeast to southeast after midnight. Moving into Tuesday, the forecast by NWS Memphis calls for a 90 percent chance of continued showers and thunderstorms after 7 am. Wednesday offers a brief respite with a slight 20 percent chance of showers, and thunderstorms are possible after 4 pm. The weather is said to be mostly sunny with a high near 85 degrees and a northwest wind near 10 mph.
Looking toward the latter half of the week, the skies will start to clear. Thursday through Sunday marks a steady climb in temperatures with highs ranging from 90 to 96 degrees. The evenings will follow suit, remaining generally mild with lows from the upper 60s to the mid-70s. These drier, sunnier days may provide a welcome break from the earlier unsettled weather, culminating in a sunny Sunday with a high forecast near an intense 96 degrees.
