In a turn of events late this afternoon, the Santa Rosa Police Department expressed gratitude after a California Highway Patrol officer discovered Jennifer Skizewski, a previously reported missing woman, at risk due to her nonverbal status. She was found in the vicinity of Highway 101 and Todd Road.
The police department recognized the contributions of both law enforcement and the wider community in the effort to locate Jennifer, with a message posted on their Facebook page, "Jennifer was located by an officer with the California Highway Patrol in the area of Highway 101 and Todd Road", the Santa Rosa Police Department stated.
Earlier the same day, authorities had been actively seeking assistance from the public to find Jennifer Skizewski, a 35-year-old woman, last seen at her residential group home on West Third Street in Santa Rosa. The Hoodline reported that Jennifer was described as a Caucasian female with blond hair and blue eyes, about 4 feet 11 inches tall, and weighing approximately 180 pounds. She wore a floral shirt and black leggings when missing from the 600-block area between 1:00 am and 7:30 am. The police emphasized that while Jennifer did not speak, she might react if her name were called, and they urged anyone with information to contact the local authorities promptly.
