The event unfolded in the early hours of July 19, around 2:04 a.m., when the suspects allegedly descended upon an individual in their car within the confines of the 1000 block of Half Street, Southeast. According to the victim's account, one of the individuals brandished a rifle, demanding the victim to hastily exit the vehicle. Compliance was met with the suspects driving away in the stolen car.
In an effort to quickly apprehend those responsible, law enforcement has released surveillance images capturing three of the suspected individuals. The MPD is now looking to the greater community to potentially identify and subsequently bring these individuals to justice.
