A dramatic vehicle rollover occurred Tuesday morning in Bellevue, as captured on police video. A truck driver lost control, and the vehicle upended, ending its tumble on the side of a road. KIRO 7 reported the incident, which happened near the intersection of Main Street and 112th Avenue Northeast around 7:38 a.m., yet fortunately, no injuries resulted.
The truck, while trying to halt for a yellow traffic signal, began its unintended wild ride, ending up inverted on its roof, narrowly missing other vehicles, including a white Tesla; the Bellevue Police later confirmed the driver managed to exit the vehicle before their arrival and while the accident, obstructing morning traffic, caused quite a stir among local commuters, it did not result in any physical harm to bystanders or the driver, MyNorthwest detailed.
Investigations into the exact cause of this mishap are underway. With Bellevue Police Officer Seth Tyler mentioning to MyNorthwest the potential for a mechanical issue, the Washington State Patrol has taken the helm to determine whether any vehicle malfunction may have led to the loss of control.
Police responded to the scene promptly and, despite the gravity of the crash, reiterated the fortunate fact that there were no casualties; this was echoed through the Bellevashortve Police Department's statement, "The crash looks pretty scary. But the good news: No one was hurt," a sobering reminder of the potential danger that was averted, as noted by CDLLife. Traffic flow returned to normalcy post-incident, while the local community remains thankful for the absence of serious consequences following the close call on Tuesday morning.
