The employee handed over the cash to the armed individual, and the suspect quickly escaped from the scene, but not for long, because the prompt and vigilant response by MPD's personnel led to a nearby stop and identification of the alleged robber which has been praised by local business owners who have expressed their ongoing concerns over the spike in petty crimes in their neighborly confines.
The apprehended individual, Jimmy Ridgell, a 23-year-old resident of Northwest, DC, is now facing charges for Armed Robbery.
