Initial fire reports had estimated about 300 vehicles were ablaze, but as the fire spread, this figure dramatically climbed. As shared on their social media platform X, the Los Angeles County Fire Department noted that "approximately 300 crushed vehicles on fire" were initially involved. However, engulfed by the flames, workers attempted to stymie the fire's spread by moving cars with heavy equipment, according to L.A. County Fire Department posts.
