A statement obtained by the Philadelphia Police blotter indicates that the assailant, described as a Black male clad in a black mask, escaped the scene on a blue and silver "Trek" mountain bike. The suspect wore a distinctive black hooded sweatshirt with the word "BIG" emblazoned on the upper-right chest, white splotches, black pants and shoes, and was carrying a sizeable black backpack with various compartments. After shooting the victim, who is now in critical condition, he was last seen fleeing the scene.

Police have turned to the public for assistance, releasing a video that captures the suspect. Any individual who might have information or can identify the suspect from the footage is strongly encouraged to come forward.
