The Philadelphia Police Department, teamed with the Shooting Investigation Group, is earnestly soliciting help from the community for identifying a suspect involved in a recent robbery and shooting occurrence. This dangerous confrontation transpired inside a convenience store situated at 3100 Kensington Avenue on July 12, according to official reports. Following the robbery, outside the store, the assailant shot the 31-year-old male victim in the neck during a confrontation, inflicting critical injuries.
A statement obtained by the Philadelphia Police blotter indicates that the assailant, described as a Black male clad in a black mask, escaped the scene on a blue and silver "Trek" mountain bike. The suspect wore a distinctive black hooded sweatshirt with the word "BIG" emblazoned on the upper-right chest, white splotches, black pants and shoes, and was carrying a sizeable black backpack with various compartments. After shooting the victim, who is now in critical condition, he was last seen fleeing the scene.
Police have turned to the public for assistance, releasing a video that captures the suspect. Any individual who might have information or can identify the suspect from the footage is strongly encouraged to come forward.
