According to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, officials received a distress call around 11:00 PM regarding visible smoke at Benicia Park's Snack Bar located at 7471 Bernice Ave, confirming an active fire had already taken its destructive hold on the property.
Upon arrival, fire personnel encountered a facility in flames. Cal Ripken Baseball League staff noted signs of malicious intent: locks had been forcefully removed, items stolen, and electronics damaged. Losses are estimated at $75,000. The incident is being investigated as arson, with clear signs of intentional vandalism, and further investigations are underway.
Stolen goods included candy, soda, chips, keys, and other food items, highlighting the impact on the local baseball league.
