In a heartwarming act of community support, Sanford resident Loreal Dungee, a single mother of three children, has received the keys to a refurbished Toyota following a serious crash that left her without a vehicle. The gift comes from the collaborative efforts of the National Auto Body Council, Geico, and Heart of Florida United Way through their Recycled Rides program. "This will help me tremendously," Dungee expressed in a statement, as reported by WFTV. She further detailed the struggle of balancing transportation needs with her responsibility to support her family. "I currently work three jobs, one of which that I walk to. So, this will take away from the hundreds of dollars that I’ve spent on Ubers."

Since the crash, Dungee has had to rely heavily on public transit and rideshare services to commute to her multiple jobs, a costly and time-consuming challenge that the car will certainly help to alleviate. According to ClickOrlando report, Dungee's new red 2021 Toyota, made to look brand new, now promises to not only ease her daily responsibilities but also to finally allow her kids the chance to partake in after-school activities they've been missing.

Rodney Duncan, director of operations with Crash Champions stated that their organization has also been an integral part of this endeavor. Crash Champions, alongside Geico and the National Auto Body Council, takes pride in refurbishing vehicles to aid families in need. They have successfully given away nearly a dozen vehicles over the past few years.
