Get ready to twist and shout, St. Louis Park, because the Summer Concert Series is here to roll back the clock with some classic rock and roll. On July 3, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater will be grooving to the nostalgic tunes of The Beatnik Brothers, who will pay homage to the icons of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, including The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and Roy Orbison. Everyone is invited to this free music event, courtesy of a partnership between The City of St. Louis Park and the St. Louis Park Rotary Club.
Attendees are encouraged to check the city website for more details on the upcoming acts that are a part of the Summer Concert Series. Just in case Mother Nature decides she prefers silence, concertgoers can call 952.924.2567 for updates on concert statuses in the face of severe weather. Nobody wants their rock 'n' roll rained out, after all.
The Beatnik Brothers might be kicking things off, but the rest of the summer is lined up with an array of performances that cater to diverse tastes. The Gypsy Mania Hot Club Quartet will continue the series on July 10. For those with a preference for drama, the Classical Actor Ensemble is set to perform on July 12. And let's not forget, Jeff Dayton is on deck for July 13, bringing a bit of country to this city soiree.
Looking forward, the summer is packed with even more local and visiting talent. Rhythms will keep spicing up with Dred I Dread's reggae beats on July 17, and the Power of 10 will showcase their brass-driven sound on July 24. As July fades, the St. Louis Park Community Band will remind us what community sounds like on July 31. August promises to be just as eventful, with performances ranging from the Overdressed Duo's opera on August 3 to the lively Salsa Del Soul on August 7, and capping off with Dan Israel's Folk Festival on August 24. Save the dates and don't miss out on these tunes!
Whether you're a die-hard rock 'n' roller or a jazz aficionado, there's a beat for you this summer at the Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater.
