A suspected DUI incident led to a dramatic crash in Tarzana, where a driver slammed into a home's wall and the vehicle went up in flames early Wednesday morning. According to ABC7, the crash occurred near Reseda Boulevard and Rosita Street around 12:30 a.m., with the Los Angeles Police Department confirming the arrest of the driver on suspicion of DUI following the fiery accident.
The Los Angeles Fire Department had to quickly extinguish the fire which consumed the vehicle and also damaged multiple cars in the home's driveway, the home was seemingly empty during this chaos as no one was reportedly inside at the time of the incident, NBC Los Angeles further indicated that there were no injuries despite the severity of the crash and that the driver along with a passenger initially fled the scene but the driver was eventually arrested.
Additional details obtained by KTLA reported that the male driver, who has not been identified, was taken into custody and a passenger suffered minor injuries; the incident appeared to have occurred as the driver lost control while attempting a turn, leading to the car's collision through the wall and subsequent igniting.
