
In the early hours of Thursday, San Antonio Police were called to the scene of a collision at the junction of Loop 1604 and U.S. Highway 281 North. The accident, involving a motorcycle and a sedan, occurred just before 12:30 a.m., as reported by KENS 5.
According to the driver of the sedan, the motorcyclist recklessly chose to not only run a red light but also to crash into their car and then continue to travel for an additional 40 yards before coming to a stop. Following the crash, someone picked up the motorcyclist, who then left the scene. The sedan's driver remained and called for emergency assistance.
The current condition and whereabouts of the motorcyclist involved are not known. FOX San Antonio notes that the series of events after the collision added more layers of complexity to the situation as the rider's swift exit left authorities piecing together the available evidence.
