The Tampa Police Department is on the lookout for an armed robbery suspect who hit an Econolodge motel, authorities are asking the public for assistance in cracking the case. On the evening of July 2, just past 10 pm, the perpetrator targeted the motel on the 4000 block of N Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa police responded to the scene after the suspect, who was armed with a firearm, demanded cash from the clerk.
According to Tampa Police Department website, the suspect managed to escape with an undisclosed sum, and fortunately no injuries were reported. A description of the suspect has been released, he is identified as a white male donning a maroon and white baseball hat, a red shirt, and multi-colored shorts, he was recorded on the motel's surveillance video during the incident.
The ongoing investigation has Tampa Police detectives diligently piecing together leads as they endeavor to identify and apprehend the suspect involved. In their statement, they emphasized the importance of community collaboration and encourage anyone with information to step forward.
