According to CMPD, the first apprehension took place on July 2, when Lasha Lynne Big Eagle, 37, was taken into custody in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Charged with Obtaining Property by False Pretense and Identity Theft, her arrest marked the beginning of what was to quickly unravel further. A few days later, on July 5, 24-year-old Ayyad Faour Sukkar was arrested in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Sukkar is now facing charges that include Murder, Common Law Robbery, Financial Transaction Card Theft, and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle a weighty litany of charges making clear the gravity of the case.
Two days hence, in a seemingly mocked echo of the previous arrests but adding to the case's intricacy, Tracey Pinnix Sukkar, 50, was held in Charlotte, North Carolina. As detailed in the CMPD's announcement, she faces charges similar to Ms. Big Eagle, specifically Obtaining Property by False Pretense and Identity Theft.
