
Early Saturday morning, a collision at an intersection in Pine Hills, Orange County, resulted in the death of two individuals and injuries to three others. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred around 5:39 a.m. at the crossing of State Road 50 (W Colonial Drive) and North Pine Hills Road. According to WESH, a Chrysler 200 collided with a Honda CRV, but details regarding the traffic light status at the moment of the crash have yet to be fully determined.
The Florida Highway Patrol's preliminary findings indicate that the Chrysler was headed south on Pine Hills Road while the Honda was traveling east on Colonial Drive. The Chrysler struck the Honda at the intersection, leading to quickly ascertaining a complete road blockage that has since been cleared, as reported by ClickOrlando. Of the three occupants in the Chrysler, two men are deceased, with their identities pending confirmation, and a 33-year-old man from Apopka is in critical condition.
Regarding the occupants of the Honda, the FHP stated that both the 43-year-old male driver and the 39-year-old female passenger, both from Orlando, were taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. As of this moment, the Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the specifics surrounding the collision.
