Universal Orlando Resort is gearing up to deliver chills and thrills with a new "Insidious"-themed haunted house at this year's Halloween Horror Nights. According to an article from ClickOrlando, the upcoming attraction, dubbed "Insidious: The Further," will invite guests to step into the ominous world of The Further, a nightmare realm filled with demons and spirits.
The haunted house, inspired by Blumhouse Productions' and Sony Pictures' "Insidious" horror franchise, will open its red door to guests on August 30, plunging them into a setting where the line between the living and the supernatural is gruesomely blurred. Visitors can anticipate up-close encounters with horrors like the Red-Faced Demon and the Bride in Black, characters that have terrified audiences since the first "Insidious" film's release in 2011. Joining the fray this year, "Insidious: The Further" marks the franchise's return to Halloween Horror Nights since its last Florida scare-fest in 2015.
An update from Fox 35 Orlando details more of what fright-seekers can expect at Halloween Horror Nights 33. The eighth addition to this year's lineup, the "Insidious" experience will compel guests to navigate a series of chilling scenes haunted by memorable antagonists such as KeyFace and the Man Who Can't Breathe, just by stepping through the red door.
The event will also feature a spectrum of other haunted houses with distinct themes, ranging from "Triplets of Terror" to "Slaughter Sinema." With a total of 10 haunted houses, plus five scare zones and a rousing live show, Universal is expanding the boundaries of terror earlier than usual, with an Aug. 30 start date. Moreover, the Premium Scream Night on Aug. 29 offers hardcore fans an exclusive preview, adding to the hype of what's billed to be one of Florida's most hair-raising Halloween-time gatherings.
