The incident, which occurred at approximately 8:43 AM, left the woman battling life-threatening injuries, including a severe brain bleed and a broken neck, described as an acute fracture to her C7 vertebrae.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was riding her Polygon Entity mountain bike eastbound when the collision happened. Details provided by Officer S. Foster's report reflect the situation's intensity. She was promptly transported to a local hospital and underwent urgent surgery. The hospital's medical team is currently fighting to save her life. The suspect's vehicle is identified as a silver or charcoal gray midsized SUV. Despite the presence of multiple witnesses at the time of the accident, the driver responsible for the serious injury hit and run has yet to be apprehended.
