The Maui police have issued an urgent call for help in locating Barbara Cooke, a 72-year-old Kahului resident, last seen yesterday evening. Cooke, as reported by Hawaii News Now, walked out of her home around 4:30 p.m., and there are reports she may have been spotted near the Maui Lani McDonald’s in Wailuku approximately three hours later.
According to the same outlet, Cooke, who relies on a cane for mobility and does not own a cell phone, stands just shy of six feet tall and was last seen wearing a blue dress. The family member who reported her missing expressed concern for her safety and well-being, particularly in light of her age and the fact she was unaccompanied.
Further identifying details provided by Maui Now include Cooke's weight, which is about 155 pounds, along with her brown hair and blue eyes. She was also wearing red shorts at the time of her disappearance. Her footwear, however, remains unidentified.
