A Washington County couple is facing multiple felony charges following a raid on their home, where authorities dismantled a sizable DMT and THC product lab. Attorney General Michelle Henry announced the arrests of Drew and Lauren Divelbliss, who allegedly ran a sophisticated illegal drug manufacturing setup right out of their residential property in Eighty Four. According to the Office of Attorney General, officers from the Pennsylvania State Police Drug Enforcement Division and local law enforcement partners found about $200,000 worth of narcotics and $300,000 in cash inside the house.
The raid, which took place on Monday, turned up approximately 1,500 grams of DMT, 300 grams of THC shatter, Psilocybin mushrooms, hundreds of THC edibles packages, and 10 pounds of marijuana. Dangerous chemicals associated with the drug production process posed a risk to the couple's two children, who were present in the home. According to Attorney General Henry, "This was a large-scale, highly-profitable manufacturing operation happening with two children at the home, which was essentially converted into a lab to produce illegal substances." The involvement of children in such an environment raised additional legal concerns, as detailed by the Office of Attorney General.
Both Drew, 36, and Lauren, 40, were arraigned Monday night, facing charges of possession with intent to deliver and endangering the welfare of children. Their bail was set at $250,000 each. Drew and Lauren Divelbliss are yet to make a statement about the charges they face, which include felonies that carry significant prison time if convicted.
"The cooperation shown here between agencies underscores the commitment to protecting our communities and making the Commonwealth safer," said Captain James Curto of the Pennsylvania State Police Drug Enforcement Division, as cited by the Office of Attorney General.
