
Early today, a 6-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting in Detroit's southwest side. The incident occurred around 1:35 a.m. on Bassett Street near Pleasant Street. According to FOX 2 Detroit, the boy was inside the home when several shots were fired into the residence, one of which struck the child.
Currently, Detroit police are working to piece together the events that led to a shooting and identify the responsible individuals. The child, who has not been named, is listed in stable condition after suffering non-life-threatening injuries. This is the second drive-by shooting involving a child in Detroit in less than two weeks.

Further details on Thursday's shooting have been scarce. "And they still have no information about the shooter or shooters," Charlie Langton said, as reported by WWJ Newsradio. There were no reports of additional injuries. However, officers with a K-9 unit responded to search the area shortly after the incident, but as of yet, there have been no arrests made.
