The fire ripped through a building on the 100 block of Vine Street and originally elicited a call to 911 Dispatch (CARE) just after 2:00 a.m. Seattle first responders arrived at a harrowing scene to find a 61-year-old man deceased and a 50-year-old woman in critical condition. After being rapidly transported to Harborview Medical Center, the woman tragically succumbed to her injuries.
