
An incident late last night has left a 67-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries following a motorcycle accident in Paradise Hills. The woman, who has not been publicly identified, was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed on Parkside Avenue when the accident occurred, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).
Officials say the accident occurred around 9:59 p.m. on the 6000 block of Parkside Avenue. The woman was operating a three-wheeled motorcycle and, upon failing to navigate a left-hand turn successfully, collided with a parked vehicle. The impact of this collision left her with serious injuries, including an open fracture to her right wrist and femur, as well as a spinal fracture. Traffic Division officers were called to the scene and investigated the circumstances of the crash.
As per the report, the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) states that the woman was taken to a local hospital immediately after the accident. The SDPD's Watch Commander, Officer Buttle, confirmed that driving under the influence was not considered a factor in this case.
