In the latest turn of events surrounding the former Orlando Commissioner Regina Hill, a lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a 96-year-old woman claiming exploitation through the mishandled sale of a jointly owned home. According to ClickOrlando, the suit demands a partition by sale of the Domino Drive property and seeks damages for Hill's alleged unjust enrichment.

Previously arrested in March, Hill stands accused of using over $100,000 of the elderly woman's funds for personal expenses, including cosmetic procedures and vacations. Her trial is to begin shortly in September and she has pleaded not guilty to charges of mortgage fraud and exploitation of an elderly person. As detailed by WFTV, this lawsuit also aims to address the burden of a $428,000 mortgage Hill allegedly secured using fraudulent power of attorney.

Hill, amidst these allegations, has recently completed moving out of the disputed property. "With much humility I announce the completion of this challenging task, and I’m grateful for the unwavering support from everyone who surrounded me with physical and spiritual encouragement along with sweat equity," Hill shared in a Facebook post reported by WFTV. She claims her spirit remains unbroken and hopeful despite the ongoing legal hurdles.

Alongside demands to liquidate the property to satisfy the mortgage, attorneys representing the nonagenarian have filed related requests for damages and legal fees to be paid by Hill.
