Officer Christina Loyd was awarded the distinguished Life Saving Award, while Officer Caleb Mullinax was honored with a Certificate of Merit during the recent Town Council meeting. Their commendable actions took place after responding quickly to a life-threatening situation involving a construction worker.
According to the Argyle Police Department, on July 9th, the officers were dispatched to a home under construction where they found a worker who had fallen from a second-story height. The individual was unresponsive with no pulse upon the officers' arrival. Without hesitation, Officer Loyd proceeded to immediately administer life-sustaining cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and continued to seamlessly keep the patient stable for a critical three minutes until the paramedics arrived on the scene. Simultaneously, Officer Mullinax skillfully maintained vital communication with dispatch and medical personnel, ensuring they were to remain situationally aware and directed swiftly to the patient's location.
This rapid response and clear-headed action by the officers underscore the high degree of professionalism and dedication to duty that the Argyle Police Department holds.
