
Big news for football fans and stadium-goers in Baltimore – M&T Bank Stadium is now flaunting its freshly minted upgrades as Phase one of a $430 million renovation project wraps up. According to a tour led by the Baltimore Ravens and reported by CBS News Baltimore, these renovations include a diverse array of fan-conscious improvements, such as a new roof deck that offers a place for fans to eat, drink, and socialize with views of the city, and on-field seats intended to get spectators "closer than ever to the on-field action."
Ravens President Sashi Brown expressed the intense effort behind this overhaul, saying, "A lot of work has gone into this. our team has done years of planning and then a ton of work on design and also the construction portion of it." As for fan experience, the M&T Bank Stadium is not holding back, with an ultra-luxury option dubbed The Black Wing, where fans can find themselves indulging in an upscale game-day experience complete with exclusive club access and concierge services.
Brown further highlighted the scope of these improvements in an interview detailed by WMAR-2 News, mentioning the infrastructure's enhancement, "Not only have we treated the fan experience, but we've also gone back in invested in the infrastructure of the stadium to make sure the stadium is going to be here for the next 15 years and beyond." The timing of the completion aligns with downtown buzz, as fans can enjoy these upgrades during the upcoming FC Barcelona vs AC Milan soccer match, as well as the Ravens' first preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
This first phase signals the kickoff of a three-step renovation process, with subsequent phases set to be complete by 2026.
