Fire crews responded to a fire at a warehouse near the site of a recent mass shooting in Baltimore on Wednesday evening. The building at 1301 N. Spring Street, which was consumed by flames, is next to the location where a deadly shooting occurred just days before, as per a report by FOX Baltimore. On Sunday night, eight people were shot, with one individual succumbing to their injuries.
While the cause of the blaze has yet to be determined, the building is registered to a motorcycle club, TB Aberdeen Motorcycle Club Inc., which had its business forfeited in October 2023 according to public records. The forfeiture occurred due to a failure to file a property return for 2022. This building's connection to the mass shooting, which took place nearby, is currently under investigation by local authorities. Law enforcement is probing the possible involvement of the motorcycle club, especially after several noise complaints from the community on the night of the shooting.
Baltimore City Fire Department has not provided comments about the incident as of late Wednesday night. Details regarding how the fire started remain unclear, and the investigation into the chain of events is ongoing. Notably, multiple guns were recovered from the scene of the Sunday shooting, suggesting that multiple individuals may have discharged weapons. This detail was shared by Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley, as detailed by The Baltimore Banner.
