Father-daughter business partners Baryalay Razi and Layma Hudson are winning over the local Cypress community with the launch of their new Blaze Pizza franchise. They're not just making pizzas; they're building community connections by hosting a generous grand opening event focused on giving back. The Houston Chronicle reported the duo is giving away over 1,000 pizzas today, from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at their new location at 7714 Fry Road—with no purchase necessary.
The residents of Cypress are not just being treated to the flavor of complimentary pies, but some are being handed a year-long pizza party. To the first 50 people lining up, Hudson and Razi are offering a weekly free pizza for an entire year. Only the earliest will catch this deal at the store, as Community Impact notes. Built upon the modish idea of customizable pies, Blaze lets patrons craft their indulgence from over 45 ingredients, challenging the traditional pizza paradigm with personal flair.
"I wanted to be active and participate in the community, and show them our appreciation and that we aren’t here to only collect the profit," Razi shared his ethos with the Houston Chronicle. The Cypress shop will sling dough Sun.-Thu. from 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. and extend its hours Fri.-Sat. from 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m., as reported by Community Impact.
