Harrisburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that led to the tragic death of a 13-year-old girl. According to CBS News Pittsburgh, the shooting occurred early Sunday when officers responded around 12:15 a.m. to South 19th and Derry streets following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, a large number of individuals were present, but the victim was not immediately located on site. It was later determined that the young girl had been taken to a local hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite a rush to surgery, she succumbed to her injuries. The name of the victim has yet to be disclosed, she is the youngest person to be killed in Harrisburg this year, as reported by PennLive.
