In a recent community outreach initiative, the Coon Rapids Police Department teamed with local businesses to provide back-to-school essentials for thirteen children. According to the Coon Rapids Police Department, funds donated to the Police Association were used to purchase supplies for the students in preparation for the upcoming school year.

A special note of gratitude was directed towards Walmart for hosting the event and to Dick's Sporting Goods for the donation of backpacks for each child. "We are so grateful to have the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of the youths in our community," the department expressed in their statement.
