
The Crowley Police Department has successfully apprehended a person of interest in connection with a recent shooting in Crowley, Texas. On Sunday, at around 1:01 p.m., authorities were alerted to a shooting on the 1200 block of Celeste Street, where they found one victim who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital after being transported by Crowley Fire/EMS Department. According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the incident appears to be an isolated domestic dispute.
In the aftermath of the tragic event, the Crowley Police Department urged the public to assist in the search for Deeven Letroy Jones, the 35-year-old black male identified as a person of interest. Jones was believed to potentially be driving a grey, 4-door 1997 Lincoln Town Car with tinted windows. Before his apprehension, Detective Gulsby and the CrimeStoppers line were the main points of contact for anyone with information capable of safely aiding in the pursuit of the individual in question.
In a recent update, local authorities have confirmed that Jones has been taken into custody. The Crowley Police Department expressed gratitude for the community's efforts and the assistance of the Fort Worth Police Department in locating Jones. The details regarding the capture have not been disclosed, and it’s been reiterated that there is no further threat to public safety due to this specific incident.
