Authorities in Dallas are currently investigating a chilling incident, where an attempted kidnapping of a child was reported on Monday afternoon. The Dallas Police were called to the scene in the 16900 block of Old Pond Drive, following the alarming event that unfolded at approximately 2:40 pm.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the situation involved a group of children who were playing outside when they were approached by an unidentified young Hispanic male driving a white SUV. The suspect purportedly attempted to coax one of the children by asking them to inspect something in the vehicle's rear. The child, sensing danger, escaped by running away, while the suspect gave chase for a short stretch before abandoning the pursuit and fleeing the area.
The Dallas Police are actively searching for the suspect’s vehicle, a white Toyota Four-Runner with the Texas license plate THS9209. Sightings of this vehicle should be reported immediately to the authorities, as it is critical to the investigation. The police have not ruled out the possibility of a second vehicle being involved in this incident, a dark-colored Chevy pickup truck. Details surrounding the pickup truck remain scant as the investigation continues.
