Yesterday, an intricate rescue mission unfolded at Sonoma Mountain Regional Park, where a female hiker was found in serious conditions after suffering injuries on a trail. The CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations coordinated a daring mid-afternoon rescue with recalibrated precision, enlisting the efforts of a Napa State firefighter and Sonoma Valley Fire to retrieve the stricken individual.
The air unit, known as H-30, was dispatched following a distress call and, through adept maneuvering, located the injured hiker with assistance from GPS coordinates provided by REDCOM. Despite the challenging terrain, the team succeeded in reaching the hiker. In a typically non-dramatic but wholly life-saving fashion, a rescue harness was deployed to secure and hoist the patient, who was subsequently transferred to an ambulance and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
