
Denton has a reason to boast about the achievement of one of its young residents. Joey Tobin of Boy Scout Troop 191 has officially risen to the Eagle Scout rank, the Boy Scouts' highest. This accomplishment is the culmination of dedication and a strong commitment to community service. According to the City of Denton Police Department, Tobin has earned an impressive 112 badges, demonstrating a wide range of skills and knowledge.
The journey to becoming an Eagle Scout is not one to lightly embark upon; it requires perseverance and a willingness to continuously learn and serve. Tobin’s most recent project involved creating a decade-old rosary garden and commons area at Sacred Heart Catholic School, a tribute to his dedication and a gift to his community. The Police Chief Robledo and the Denton PD executive staff were present to celebrate Tobin's accomplishments, honoring him with a Chief’s coin. This token, as much as it is a symbol of recognition, is a call for Joey Tobin to continue to grow and actively serve his community.
