The City of Denton is now accepting applications for the 2024 Denton 360° program, a hands-on initiative designed to offer 14 selected residents, aged 18 and over, an in-depth look at the city's operations. Participants will gain unique insights through site visits and direct interactions with city officials, providing an educational journey into the workings of Denton's civic landscape, as per the City of Denton.
With applications due by August 31, interested residents need to act quickly. Those selected will be notified by September 6 and will begin their journey on September 26 with an introduction to the City of Denton. The program includes tours of key facilities such as the Denton Energy Center and the local treatment plant, offering participants a comprehensive view of the city's essential services.
Jesse Kent, Assistant to the City Manager, encourages passionate residents to apply, emphasizing the program's value in understanding city planning, emergency response, public utilities, and transportation. The Denton 360° program concludes on December 3 with a graduation ceremony, signaling not just the end of the program but the beginning of a more informed and engaged civic life for participants. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the decision-making process and shape Denton’s future.
