An isolated shower or weak storm might break the dry spell late in the afternoon and evening over Park County, and along points south of Limon today, but no significant precipitation is expected. The wind, appearing as a gentle presence, could gust as high as 16 mph at times, as per the National Weather Service. Looking ahead to Wednesday, the forecast suggests increasing clouds and a high near 92 degrees, with gentle breezes becoming a southerly wind in the afternoon.
The NWS update also covers the latter half of the week, advising mostly clear skies from Wednesday night through Saturday. For nighttime temperatures, lows are consistently expected to be in the low 60s. Thursday will be sunny with the mercury possibly reaching 85 degrees, while winds could get brisk with gusts up to 20 mph.
As the week progresses, only isolated showers and storms are predicted, with most activities confined to the high terrain south of Interstate 70 and the Palmer Divide area through Saturday. The outlook for Sunday and Labor Day indicates a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a haze of uncertainty, as the storms will be mostly sunny, reaching highs near 86 degrees.
