The Denver metro area was shaken by a series of violent incidents over the weekend, with the tally reaching three dead and numerous injured across six separate shootings. According to ABC7 Denver, the violence began early Sunday morning with a shooting at an apartment complex in Aurora, leaving multiple individuals with varying injuries.

In Aurora, one man was inflicted with critical injuries after being shot multiple times, while a second male was stabbed. These incidents quickly followed one another, with Denver reporting three separate shootings and two additional nonfatal stabbings as reported by The Denver Post. The violence continued to entirely disrupt to carve a path through the Denver metro area, affecting neighborhoods from the Civic Center to East Colfax Avenue.

The fatal incidents included a man shot dead in a Commerce City 7-Eleven parking lot, and another man succumbing to injuries following a different shooting in the area. A related suicide was also reported, as a man involved in one of the shootings was later found deceased. The Commerce City Police Department has been investigating but has yet to release potential motives or connections between the incidents, as stated by a spokeswoman in an article by NBC News.

There is no current evidence to suggest a connection between the various shootings and stabbings, which spanned a residential neighborhood, a nightclub, and a public park. In one instance, a person was taken into custody after a fatal shooting in a park that involved juveniles. In a tragic coloration of the night's events, a nightclub parking lot in Aurora became a crime scene after another deadly shooting took place. The police have yet to make an arrest in this particular case. However, they have disclosed that a 34-year-old man, shot multiple times, was able to self-transport to the hospital where he is expected to survive, "police said" according to NBC News.
